Thermostatic Radiator Valves
Thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) are recommended by the Energy Saving Trust as an essential part of a full set of heating controls. In turn, full heating controls are essential to saving on your heating bills. Having one of these fitted to each of the main radiators in your home will allow you to control the temperature of every room independently.
On their own, TRVs may not generate huge savings for you - but when combined with other modern controls the overall savings can be huge. You may also find that they help you better control the comfort levels of your home.
- Enjoy total control of your home's heating system
With a single room thermostat, it is difficult to control the temperature throughout your home as some rooms may be too hot or too cold. By fitting a TVR on each of your radiators, you will have the comfort of knowing that you can control the temperature in each room. - Why should I install a TRV?
By installing TRVs in your home you will not only have more control over the temperature in each room but you will also be making your heating system run more efficiently. - What will installing a TRV involve?
A Powerflush engineer will drain your heating system and replace your old radiator valve with a new TRV. The engineer will then refill the system and test the TRV to make sure it's working correctly. - How long will installation take?
Installation time will vary according to the number of TRVs you have installed, e.g. installing 4 TRVs will take around 3 hours. - Will I have to move furniture or lift carpets?
No, the Powerflush engineer will only need access to radiators on which you would like a TRV fitted, so disruption should be kept to a minimum. - Can I still turn my radiators off completely?
Yes, there is an 'off' setting on each of the TRVs. - Will installing a TRV help reduce my carbon emission?
Yes, the Energy Saving Trust has stated that TRVs can reduce carbon emissions by 45kg per year*. - Essential - recommended as part of a full control system by the Energy Saving Trust
- Control - maintain different temperatures in different rooms
- Comfort - prevent bedroom from overheating while ensuring living areas are as cosy as possible
Replace Circulatory Pump
If on inspection the existing circulatory pump is blocked with sludge etc we might recommend replacing it.
